NARS : HAUL & REVIEW

Left: Nars Illuminator in Orgasm £22.00
Top: Nars Blush Duo in Hungry Heart £29.00
Middle: Nars Pure Matte Lipstick in Valparaiso £18.50
Right: Nars Blush in Doucer £21.00
Nars is without a doubt one of my favourite makeup brands. Being a very fair skinned girl it's always hard to find a brand from which I can buy multiple products from that I know will compliment my skin tone. I also love that the packaging of all Nars products is so simple and sleek!

Now, if you've had a glance at the picture above already you're probably thinking hang on, how does someone with very pale skin pull off the Orgasm illuminator in such a dark colour?! (Admittedly, I did think the same when the lovely girl at the Nars counter said I should try a little on my skin) However, it went on like a dream! It's a very light product and it blends beautifully onto the skin giving you a lovely glow before applying your foundation. When you apply the Orgasm illuminator you will notice the initial colour disappearing as you blend it in leaving a warm glow to your face. This is not anything like fake tan so fear not fellow fair-skinned girls! I highly recommend this product, whether you have fair or darker skin, this product will give you that radiant glow!

I also have a little soft spot for Nars blushes. Douceur is the latest addition to my make up bag and I haven't stopped wearing it since! Usually I go for pinky shades but my skin naturally is quite pink especially on the cheeks so I thought I'd experiment a little. Douceur is a lovely soft pink-brown which I think is perfect as the winter months approach. I only have to apply a little to my cheeks and it also helps define my cheekbones. For days that I wear pink blushes I also apply a little Douceur as my contour colour which it is also great for! I love that it is such a versatile blush and the great thing about all of the Nars blushes is that every colour suits practically every skin tone!

While I was at the counter, another product that caught my eye was the pure matte lipstick range which I've seen advertised recently. I have been looking for the perfect winter shade for a couple of weeks now and as soon as I swatched the shade Valparaiso I knew I had found it! It is a rich rasberry colour which is also very on trend this year. This lipstick glides on effortlessly and I don't find myself having to re-apply it for hours, plus the colour is very pigmented and bold which I adore! I definitely recommend this product, I can see myself adding a few more of these beauties to my collection!

Now, last but not least - the blush duo in Hungry Heart! For me, this is the perfect highlight for the tops of the cheekbones and the brow bone. This duo really makes your skin look radiant and is the perfect finishing touch to your makeup routine. The subtle shimmer reflects light giving your skin that healthy glow that everyone is after! This product really helps make your skin come to life, a little really does goes a long way and that's why I would definitely repurchase this gorgeous duo again. Again, this is such a versatile product and would suit many different skin tones, definitely one of my favourite products from Nars!
